Mohammed Kudus is set to be sidelined until March with a quad injury, Thomas Frank has revealed.

The Spurs forward was withdrawn early on during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Sunday and is now facing more than two months on the sidelines.

“Kudus is unfortunately is a bigger one to the tendon in the quad,” the Spurs boss explained. “That is one where we expect him back after the March international break.”

Rodrigo Bentancur is also set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in the defeat to Bournemouth.

“Rodri has a hamstring injury,” Frank said. “It looks like a bigger one, unfortunately. We don’t know the time frame. That we will know later.”

Fellow midfielder Lucas Bergvall is being assessed, meanwhile, having also gone off injured against Bournemouth.

“We’ll know more later today with him,” Frank said.

And Frank shared more disappointing news, with Dejan Kulusevski not expected to return to training for at least another three to four weeks.

The Sweden international has not played this season because of a serious knee injury.

“We know it is a complicated injury,” Frank said on the attacker’s recovery. “If there is one person who can accelerate that (recovery) it is Dejan, who is a top pro and has got a top mentality.

“The most important thing is to remove the pain in the knee. He had an injection to help that 10 days ago.

“We will know in three to four weeks if that has settled and when it has settled, hopefully, he will be on the grass and from there, we will see what is happening.”

But both Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke are getting closer to returning.

“Destiny is a bit closer than Dom obviously because he’s only been out for about five weeks,” Frank said.

“But both of them are positive.”
