With a long list of absentees in his squad, Ghana head coach Otto Addo has called on Kwasi Sibo to strengthen the team.

The Real Oviedo midfielder bolsters the roster ahead of the 8th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali, scheduled for Monday, September 8 in Accra.

The official Black Stars account on X confirmed the news, while also listing the significant number of missing players in the Ghanaian squad.

Indeed, Thomas Partey is sidelined due to illness, Ibrahim Sulemana is injured, and Elisha Owusu is suspended for accumulation of yellow cards.

The 27-year-old has played in Real Oviedo's first three matches in La Liga this season. He is now set to earn his first cap with the Black Stars.
