theRangers has dismal home recent over the past few months

The final Glasgow Derby of the season has been described by some as something of a ‘dead rubber’ due to four in a row now fully official thanks to our thumping 5-0 win at Tannadice last weekend. Celtic of course still have trophy business to attend to in the Scottish Cup Final on Saturday 24 May, while theRangers have no such concerns having lost earlier in the competition at Ibrox to Glasgow minnows Queen’s Park.

Make no mistake, Celtic still have plenty to play for despite being able to relax in full knowledge that the league title is staying at Celtic Park once again as we go to their place 17 points clear and with the champagne already sprayed at Tannadice last weekend. Sunday is about rubbing it in.

Piling on the agony, putting on the style

Not only do we want to finish on as many points as we possibly can, we also want to smash the goals for record in a domestic campaign which was recorded by the Celtic invincible squad of 2016/17.

There’s also the matter of making amends for our last two displays in this fixture which were disappointing to say the least. We quite simply didn’t turn up in the last two fixtures and that is something we want to rectify and what better way to do so than by winning in Govan In front of the Ibrox hordes. Even when we were well below par in the last game, Celtic came back from 2-0 down to level the score and were pushing for the winner before that sucker punch.

The table doesn’t lie – Celtic is the best side in Scotland

We are undoubtedly the best side in Scotland, Celtic are the champions and let’s prove that to the world by dumping theRangers in their own backyard to send Barry Ferguson and his fellow pundits back to their media jobs where they can talk a good game. Dead Rubber? Not on your life.

Zero chance Brendan Rodgers will accept this

There is zero chance that Brendan Rodgers will accept losing the head-to-head against theRangers. That’s never happened to him before and he’ll be 100% motivated to make sure it doesn’t happen on Sunday.

Brendan wants the Scottish Cup to add to the Premier Sports League Cup and the Scottish Premiership trophy, and he wants it all, the Summer Bragging Rights Cup too. We all do.
