The Gunners announced the news via a post on their official club website last night.
The 30-year-old Austrian international has spent seven years with Arsenal but she will move on to a new challenge next season. Zinsberger has made 143 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions. She has won the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League and two Subway Women’s League Cups in her time in North London.
The keeper is a big character and has made a real impact at Arsenal. She leaves the club with their best wishes.
Commenting on Zinsberger’s departure when speaking in an Arsenal press conference, head coach Renée Slegers said “She has meant so much to this club. She has been a big part of the achievements on the pitch and everything that has been achieved off the pitch too; how she has always supported and brought so much energy to the group in training, she’s been very vocal and always looking to support and feed the team.
“She is doing really well in her rehab, she has been out on the pitch and is making good steps, so hopefully, she will be in a really good place for herself.”
Zinsberger has played her final game for Arsenal with the player unlikely to return to fitness from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury until next season.
