Noel Aseko is currently one of the most eye-catching midfielders in Bundesliga 2. The player on loan from Hannover 96 still belongs to FC Bayern – and a return to Munich does not seem out of the question
There could be movement in central midfield at FC Bayern in the coming years. While the future of Leon Goretzka is being discussed again and again, one player from the club’s own youth ranks is also coming back into focus: Noël Aseko
The 20-year-old is currently on loan from Munich to Hannover 96, where he has developed into one of the most eye-catching midfielders in Bundesliga 2. His strong performances have not gone unnoticed at Säbener Straße. According to Sky , Munich are already making concrete plans for Aseko’s return
The Berlin-born player is still under contract with FC Bayern until 2028. Hannover have a purchase option worth one million euros, but Munich have also secured a buy-back clause
Aseko himself is deliberately keeping all options open when it comes to his future
„Every sportsman dreams of playing for the best at some point,“ said the midfielder in an interview with BILD
At the same time, he emphasised that he is currently concentrating primarily on his sporting development: „Of course, I’m in regular contact and in talks with those responsible at Bayern and Hannover. But I’m not concerned with that. I’m only concerned with the games, otherwise my head is too full of other things. I’m not planning for the next few weeks right now.“
Aseko also confirmed that Munich are continuing to follow his development closely: „I spoke to Christoph Freund once. He’s proud of my development and told me to keep pushing and not let up.“
Bayern are therefore keeping a close eye on the midfielder, and if Aseko continues to develop so positively in Hannover, a return to Munich could soon become a reality
However, the 20-year-old has not ruled out continuing his time at Hannover

„I don’t want to rule anything out and leave all doors open for now,“ explained Aseko. Even another year in the Bundesliga 2 would be conceivable for him: „I could also imagine playing in the Bundesliga 2 for another year.“
The Bayern loanee’s development is being closely monitored in Munich, and if Aseko continues to perform so well, he could even play a role in the record champions‘ plans.
