Grêmio have stepped up efforts to sell their master shirt sponsorship and other inventory, adding the Arena’s naming rights to the package and exploring commercial use of first-team and academy training centres.

According to Globo.com, at least five companies have expressed interest. The club aims to group partners, and the master sponsor could also take the Arena naming rights, a right never previously sold.

Executives are seeking to balance all bidders, with brands chasing the master spot potentially placed elsewhere on the shirt. Negotiations are taking longer because several revenue streams are being handled at once.

A new kit launches in March, with New Balance replacing Umbro when that contract ends, and the club expects fresh brands on the shirt. The drive is being led by CEO Alex Leitão.

Grêmio have had no master sponsor since 8 December, when a short-term Energia Bet deal, valid for the last two games of the season, expired.

Previously, Alfa Bet had agreed around R$ 50 million a year, but the deal was terminated between late November and early December after three instalments were missed, a debt of approximately R$ 12 million. The three-season contract ended before completing the first year.

The club is now pursuing R$ 28.902.289,82 from Alfa in court, having rejected a settlement proposal.

Until last year Grêmio did not manage the Arena, so could not sell its naming rights. At CT Luiz Carvalho, advertising boards are already in place, and plans include marketing pre-season activations and selling the venue’s name.
