Grêmio’s Arena North Stand will unveil a refreshed look tonight as they host Atlético-MG, the opening phase of a project to strengthen the club’s visual presence at the stadium. According to Globo.com, the upper facade has been given a new visual identity.
The no-seat section, home to the organised supporters behind one goal, has received the upgrade on its upper frontage. The project is expected to extend to floor painting.
Designers Lucas Villegas and Leo Barbosa led the work, having previously painted areas around the ground before the 2024 flood. The stand displays the Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense wordmark prominently, framed by one blue stripe and two black stripes. To the side sits the club crest, along with three stars between the name.
Thiago Floriano, the Arena and Operations executive manager, said bringing Grêmio’s identity into the Arena had long been a club aim. With stadium management in place, he added, this is only the first phase, with more processes to follow during the year.
The North Stand holds 7,000 and offers the Arena’s lowest ticket prices. In late 2025, a hoarding at the top of the section was set back to help increase capacity, subject to approval of the Fire Department’s PPCI, the Fire Protection and Prevention Plan.
This year also saw the opening of the Gold Premium Sul space above the popular sector. The area features enhanced sound, appearances by club idols and former players, and upgraded catering.
