Guardiola pays tribute to Klopp

Guardiola full of praise for Klopp
Eight years after his arrival in England, Pep Guardiola delivers a clear verdict: the Premier League has entered a new era. The Spanish manager believes the fierce rivalry between Manchester City and Liverpool has profoundly transformed the league, both in terms of playing style and collective expectations.
"When I was in Munich, people used to say the English league was the most unpredictable in the world. That's still true, but maybe Liverpool and we have changed the game by making the league both more stable and more spectacular," Guardiola revealed.
According to him, the repeated showdowns between his Citizens and Jürgen Klopp's Reds, often breaking the 90-point mark per season, have helped raise the bar for the entire league.
"There's no longer a dominant team. Every season, another contender joins the race. That's good, both for the fans and for the spectacle," he added,
drawing a comparison between English competitiveness and that of the NBA, where any team can spring a surprise.
Since his arrival in 2016, Guardiola has managed over 540 matches with City, amassing an impressive total of 393 victories. Under his tenure, the Manchester club has claimed six Premier League titles, a Champions League crown, and a Club World Cup. This trophy haul alone illustrates the revolution sparked by the Catalan tactician, whose footballing vision has truly redefined the standards of English football.
