Gustavo Gómez will make his 385th Palmeiras appearance on Wednesday against Vitória, moving clear as the squad’s appearance leader after Raphael Veiga’s loan to América-MEX, according to Nosso Palestra.

The captain had been level with Veiga on 384, and the landmark arrives in the first match since the No 23 was unveiled at América on Tuesday.

He is the club’s top-scoring centre-back with 43 goals, ahead of Luís Pereira on 36, and the foreigner with the most appearances, 379 since 2018, followed by Arce and Valdivia on 241.
