Hansi Flick speaks again on Dro’s decision to leave Barcelona | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick on Friday spoke for the latest time on the departure of Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández from the club.

This of course comes fresh off the youngster’s departure from Catalunya’s capital being made official.

Barcelona released a statement earlier this week, announcing that Dro has made the move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis.

The Spaniard’s exit came after he informed the Barcelona board of his desire to seek out more consistent senior playing time at a new club earlier this month.

Hansi Flick has already made clear his disappointment with the development, with Dro widely considered to be a future star in the making.

Speaking during his latest exchange with the media on Friday, Barca’s headmaster was in turn drawn on the situation once again.

And Flick did not hold back, in responding:

“I really loved this boy. Of course I am disappointed. But it’s football. We have to respect this decision. I am disappointed of course. He knows it, but I loved this boy. Here he also had a great future.”
