PSG have landed a promising young player in Dro Fernandez. Negotiations between the two clubs dragged on for days because, in Spain, the player was required to pay his €6 million release clause, which is subject to a 47 percent tax.

This added cost altered PSG’s approach, prompting the Parisian club to raise its offer. The total transfer fee is now expected to reach around €7 million. The young Spaniard made a bold decision, turning down more lucrative offers from Manchester City, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund.

Moreover, Hansi Flick, the German coach at FC Barcelona, had been planning to rely heavily on the player, but persuaded by Luis Enrique’s promise of more playing time in Paris, the player was determined to join PSG.
