Harry Gray completes season-long Sheffield Wednesday loan, Leeds to monitor progress | OneFootball

Leeds United have confirmed 17-year-old forward Harry Gray has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan, linking up with Henrik Pedersen at Hillsborough.

The club said in a statement that they wish him well and will monitor his progress closely.

Wednesday have new ownership this season and want an immediate return to the Championship after last year’s relegation amid fan unrest. Gray will compete for a place in a squad with heightened ambition.

After impressing for Leeds Under-21s, he joined Rotherham United in January, making 20 appearances and scoring three goals as they avoided relegation from League One. He featured as a striker and from wide areas.

Daniel Farke had planned to take him to the USA with the first team in pre-season, however early integration at Wednesday is viewed as the best route to a key role under Pedersen and the next step in his pathway.
