Harry Kane will miss Bayern Munich's trip to Freiburg on Saturday, though a return for Real Madrid on Tuesday remains possible.
According to L'Équipe, the 32-year-old has been dealing with an ankle issue since the international break, and he will not be involved for the 15:30 kick-off.
Vincent Kompany was rather positive about the forward's chances for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid.
Kane, the Bundesliga's top scorer on 31 goals, sat out two matches with a thigh problem earlier in March. He was excused from the first week of England camp and did not feature in the 0-1 defeat to Japan.
Bayern will also be without Nicolas Jackson this weekend. The forward is suspended after his sending off at Leverkusen in the 1-1 draw on 14 March.
There is better news on the injury front, with Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, Jonas Urbig and Aleksandar Pavlovic back available for Freiburg.
