Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has said that his team will have to be at their best to defeat Chelsea in Wednesday evening's Champions League clash.
The German side have started the season in superb form, winning all five of their games in all competitions, including a 5-0 hammering of Hamburger SV at the weekend.
"When we play at the Allianz Arena, we can beat anyone if we perform at our best," Kane said about the game against Enzo Maresca's side.
"We're feeling really good at the moment. If we want to beat Chelsea, we'll have to be at our best. It'll be a great game under the lights. Chelsea were very strong at the Club World Cup."
Harry Kane has previously scored eight times in 23 games for Tottenham Hotspur against rivals Chelsea, with two of those goals coming in his last two games against the Blues.
After starting the 2025/26 season with nine goals in seven games for club and country, the 32-year-old spoke about his good form: "I always believe in myself and my ability to score goals. The style suits me well.
"I'm feeling very confident at the moment and am in good shape both physically and mentally. If we're playing well as a team, I'll score a lot of goals."
The England man also spoke of the high expectations for Bayern in Europe this season: "A club like Bayern always has the expectation of winning every competition. We are not the underdogs in this competition, even though we are playing against the best teams in Europe.
"Now a long journey begins, hopefully lasting until May. We want to finish as high as possible in the league table. Tomorrow we get started."
