The Red Dragons are looking to invest heavily in their squad in the summer window
Wrexham AFC's recent and continued rise up the divisions has been well-documented, albeit the investment ploughed into the Welsh club has certainly caused plenty of stirs amongst the wider footballing community.
The Red Dragons were taken over by the Hollywood A-list duo of Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac for just £2m five years ago this month, during a period where they were stuck in the abyss of the National League, having endured several failed promotion attempts since their relegation from League Two in 2008.
Fast-forward to the present, though, and Wrexham are a completely different entity altogether, with the backing of the aforementioned Americans making the North Wales club and its local community the focus of the world at times, as their fortunes have been documented on a rolling Disney Plus series.
After regaining their EFL status by edging out Notts County in an enthralling automatic promotion race in the top tier of non-league just three years ago, Phil Parkinson has since gone on to achieve what many believed was the unthinkable at the Stok Cae Ras.
Indeed, Wrexham have since become the first club in the history of the EFL to achieve three successive promotions, and they are now firmly in the thick of yet another promotion battle in what is their first season at Championship level since 1982.
After 32 games played, Parkinson's side are currently on 48 points, with only goal difference separating themselves and Derby County in the final play-off place.
The club's spending power had been well-documented in the summer as they invested over £30m in a reshuffled squad, and they could be on for yet another eye-catching transfer window, particularly if they are to reach the top-flight for the first time in their lengthy history.

With the club looking to achieve a fourth-straight promotion through the Championship play-offs, it appears as though the Wrexham hierarchy are already drawing up contingency plans for the summer transfer window.
And, as per a report from TEAMtalk, it has emerged that their first signing, if promotion to the Premier League is to be achieved, could come in the form of 67-time Wales international and Fulham ace, Harry Wilson.
The report states that the 28-year-old is likely to be up to the challenge of linking up with his hometown club if such feats occur between now and May, whilst he is currently enjoying a fine season at Craven Cottage.
It has also been claimed that UEFA Champions League-hunting Aston Villa are interested in striking a deal, whilst Wilson also saw a move to last season's Championship champions, Leeds United, collapse on Deadline Day in the summer window, with his contract situation in West London also remaining uncertain.
The ex-Liverpool academy graduate signed a five-year deal with the Cottagers ahead of their promotion-winning season of 2021/22, meaning he is out-of-contract in June at present after scoring eight times and posting a further five assists in 25 league outings so far this season.

At the time Wilson signed for Fulham, Wrexham were four divisions further down the pyramid, which highlights the remarkable short-term transformation at the Stok Cae Ras, as well as the club's future ambition that they are eyeing up such a move.
This isn't totally unexpected nowadays, either, as the Red Dragons were locked in a transfer battle for Angers SCO forward, Sidiki Cherif, alongside last season's FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace, albeit a deal was not financially viable in the winter window.
However, it would be a full-circle moment for Wilson if he was able to play a key role in the stunning journey which his hometown club have been on, whilst he would also elevate the level of creativity and quality currently at the club.
