“He’s a leader” – Micah Richards raves about Chelsea midfielder that’s not Moises Caicedo | OneFootball

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has been raving about one Chelsea midfielder after the win this weekend.

Moises Caicedo has deservedly been getting all the love this week after a superb performance and a world class goal against Liverpool at the weekend.

The Blues came out as 2-1 winners after a late goal was put in by young Brazilian winger Estevao Willian, and Caicedo got named Man of the Match in what was probably the easiest call of the weekend.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was raving about Caicedo after the game and called him ‘world class’ whilst on pundit duty for the game, and most of us are running out of words to use for just how good the Ecuadorian international is.

But there was another Chelsea midfielder who played well too and is doing much better in recent games, and that is Enzo Fernandez. He has sparked up a great partnership already with Caicedo in the middle of the park, but he does a lot more of the creative work.

Whilst everyone is out there waxing lyrical about Caicedo, Micah Richards has decided to hand some deserved flowers to Fernandez as well.

Richards said:

“I’ve been impressed with Enzo Fernandez. The way he’s making runs into the box– he always seems to be there. World Cup winner!

“I mean, he’s got such confidence because there was a little bit of debate– people didn’t know quite what he was. Is he a holder? Is he a number eight? Is he a number 10? He’s got a little bit of everything with real quality, and he’s a leader as well.”
