Hoffenheim confirm Berisha departure

TSG Hoffenheim have confirmed the permanent departure of Mergim Berisha.

Berisha leaves Hoffenheim after making just 17 Bundesliga appearances following his move from Augsburg in 2023.

He is now looking to get his career back on track at Kaiserslautern.

“I am very grateful to 1. FC Kaiserslautern for giving me the chance to prove myself at an ambitious club in such an attractive environment,” Berisha said in an interview on Kaiserslautern’s website.

“As a footballer, you know the atmosphere at the Betzenberg and the intensity the stadium can create, and I’m really looking forward to that. I want to help the team have a successful second half of the season and, above all, repay the trust the club has placed in me with my performances on the pitch.”
