The joint-most successful clubs in English football history will headline Sunday’s Premier League schedule roster as Liverpool face Manchester United at Anfield.

The Reds are desperate to halt an alarming three-game losing streak across all competitions following their 2-1 defeat against Chelsea before the international break.

It’s the first time Liverpool have gone three games without a win since the end of last season, although they already had the Premier League title in the bag.

They cannot afford a similar run this time around, not with their title rivals building momentum.

This weekend’s outing could be a perfect opportunity for Liverpool to turn things around, given their dominant home record against Sunday’s visitors.

They haven’t lost a league game against United on home soil since January 2016 (D4, D9).

How Liverpool could line up

Liverpool manager Arne Slot delivered some uplifting news during his press conference, confirming that Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konate are fit to face United.

However, injury woes could still force him to make up to four changes from the team that lost to Chelsea.

With Alisson sidelined for a few weeks due to a hamstring problem, Giorgio Mamardashvili will step in for his Brazilian counterpart.

Szoboszlai could get the nod at right back ahead of Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong, lining up alongside Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez.

Slot could shake things up in midfield with Curtis Jones stepping in for Alexis Mac Allister, who played 90 minutes in Argentina’s thumping 6-0 friendly win against Puerto Rico in the United States.

With Jones partnering Gravenberch in midfield, Florian Wirtz will likely return to the team in the number ten role after starting the Chelsea defeat on the bench.

Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo will be on the flanks, while Hugo Ekitike leads the line ahead of Alexander Isak. He featured heavily for Sweden during the international break.
