The winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or will tonight be crowned.
Lionel Messi won the biggest individual prize in football last year for a record-extending eighth time but a new dawn is expected this evening at the star-studded event in Paris.
Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior is widely expected to be crowned the world’s best player after a stunning season for the club in which he won La Liga, the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup.
Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe are some of the other big names in contention this evening.
