Sunderland take on Burnley in the final Premier League match of gameweek 24, as they aim to jump back into the top half of the table.
Regis Le Bris’ side are currently on 33 points and could go as high as eighth position with a victory tonight.
Scott Parker’s Burnley are searching for just their fourth win of the season, whilst also hoping to end their 14-game winless run in the Premier League.

Whilst Sunderland only have one win in their last seven matches, they have not lost a game at home all season in the Premier League. The Black Cats lost 3-1 in their previous game against West Ham, so will be determined to bounce back immediately.
Burnley have had a sorry season so far, and are currently without a win since October, when they beat Wolves 3-2 away from home. The Clarets earned a point last time out against Tottenham, and will be looking to do the double over Sunderland after they beat them 3-2 earlier in the season.
Sunderland boss Le Bris: “For us, we lost against West Ham and it wasn’t our best version, so now it’s time to go back to our stadium and show we are at the level. After a win, you don’t want to step back, and after a defeat, you want to react quickly.
“Emotions are there when you lose, but we have had time to recover and reset. I hope we will be at our best.
“Burnley are struggling in the table, but they are doing well. It has probably been a lack of efficiency. They can build from the back or go direct, and they have a good high press.”
Burnley boss Parker: “If you look at that table, it doesn’t look pretty, but look at the fixtures coming up and ask yourself, ‘can you pick up some points and get some positive results?'”
“Things can change very quickly, and we’ve seen that over the course of this year. So that’s how we go about it now, and have no focus on the table at the moment.
“They’ve [Sunderland] done incredibly. It’s a tough place and the stadium is hostile as well, so we know what we’re coming up against. We’ve faced them already this year and got a positive result, so we’ll be ready.”
