Hull City and Middlesbrough are reportedly in a race to secure the services of Bamba Dieng (26), according to Foot Mercato.
Although he was at one point reported to be close to joining Turkish club Amedspor, the Senegalese player has apparently pulled out of the deal with the newly promoted Super Lig side. A free agent since leaving FC Lorient at the end of last season, Dieng is now said to be favouring a move to England, despite offers from Saudi Arabia.
Back in the Premier League, the Tigers are said to view him as a quality addition to their squad. The same goes for Boro, who were themselves beaten by Hull City in the play-off final and will be playing in the Championship for the 2026-27 campaign.
This difference could prove decisive in the decision of the Pikine-born player, who scored 16 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions last season – including 10 in 22 Ligue 1 matches.
