‘I can be a starter’ – Barcelona star sends message to Hansi Flick after Real Betis | OneFootball

Barcelona star Ferran Torres has on Saturday sent a clear message the way of Hansi Flick and his staff, regarding his place in the club’s XI.

This of course comes fresh off an outing to remember for the Spaniard.

Ferran was back in from the off this evening, as Barcelona made the trip to Seville for a La Liga clash with Real Betis.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana extended their advantage atop the table, courtesy of a 5-3 romp.

And it was frontman Ferran who secured for himself Man of the Match honours at La Cartuja, courtesy of an impressive hat-trick.

The 25-year-old has now racked up more goals this La Liga season (11) than he managed in all of the 2024/25 campaign.

And yet, Ferran faces an ongoing battle for a starting berth with teammate Robert Lewandowski.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle tonight, the former Manchester City man therefore made use of the opportunity to send a message to both his coaches, and all associated with the club:

“My stats this season mean nothing. I already know that I can do this. I know I can be a starter for Barcelona.”
