Enzo Maresca has admitted he didn’t have any doubt about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as the midfielder prepares to return to Stamford Bridge for the first time since leaving in the summer.
Dewsbury-Hall joined Everton after just one season at Chelsea, in which he won the Conference League and Club World Cup.
Since joining the Toffees Dewsbury-Hall has shown his quality, and has established himself as a key player for David Moyes.
The 27-year-old has scored four goals and registered three assists in 14 league games this season, and is really showing how good a player he is.
Dewsbury-Hall started just two Premier League games last season, but was a regular in the Conference League campaign.

Ahead of his return to the club, Maresca was asked about Dewsbury-Hall, and admitted he never had any doubts over him.
“I didn’t have any doubt about Kiernan,” he told his pre-match press conference.
“I know that the more he’s going to play, he’s going to be better.
“But again, with us, he was good all season, working hard. The time that he played, he was doing well. But yeah, he has also good players, so the competition was a big competition for him.
“I have no doubt that in the moment that he was able to play more games, he was doing well.”
Whilst Dewsbury-Hall has been Everton’s star man this season, Chelsea will be hoping their talisman Cole Palmer is available again.
Palmer featured against Leeds and Bournemouth before being rested for the trip to Atalanta in midweek, but is expected to be fit for Saturday.

It remains to be seen if he’ll start, but Maresca has confirmed he’s been training and everything is ok at this current stage.
Palmer scored four goals in 6-0 win against Everton under Mauricio Pochettino, and anything similar on Saturday would go down well.
