Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye.
Last week, Sky Sports reported that the Everton attacker is on United’s list of left-wing targets alongside RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who is also being chased by Liverpool.
United are thought to be monitoring Ndiaye, who is enjoying an impressive season under David Moyes.
Everton are expected to play hardball over any negotiations for their prized asset, who moved to Merseyside from Olympique de Marseille in 2024.
Iliman Ndiaye is capable of playing on both flanks. The Senegalese winger uses his quick feet and impeccable ball control to glide past opponents. Last year, Jack Grealish called his Everton teammate “the most skillful player in the Premier League.”
Needless to say, the 26-year-old is highly rated by the club’s hierarchy as well.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming it will require a “mammoth fee” to prise him from the Toffees, who would use the club record £75 million fee received from Romelu Lukaku’s sale as a benchmark.
However, Ndiaye’s alleged desire could put Everton in a tricky situation, making the pursuit a little easier for the Red Devils.
According to Centre Devils’ SullyTalkz, Ndiaye would see a transfer to Old Trafford as a move to a “dream club”.
The United insider posted on X: “Iliman Ndiaye is a player which MUFC are monitoring ahead of the summer. It’s understood that the 26 yo would be open at the oppurtunity to a move on what he sees as a dream club in Utd.”
The Senegal international’s contract at Everton runs until the summer of 2029, meaning the Merseyside outfit remain in strong negotiating position.
Still, if Ndiaye decides to push for a move to United in the summer, the figures at the Hill Dickinson Stadium might be forced to soften their stance and lower their asking price.
