As revealed in the BILD podcast Bayern Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have knocked on Serge Gnabry’s door. According to BILD head of soccer Christian Falk, Spurs have contacted the player’s side in recent days and expressed their interest

According to BILD, Gnabry quickly gave the Londoners a clear response. „They also got the signal straight away: guys, we’re going to talk to Bayern first,“ explained Falk, making it clear that the international’s priority remains with the record champions

BILD reporter Tobi Altschäffl also emphasizes that Tottenham is not a realistic option at the moment. Although there is concrete interest, the talks between Gnabry and FC Bayern are at an advanced stage. There is no question of breaking them off or changing direction

Falk and Altschäffl put media reports that the extension should be finalized this week into perspective. „It hasn’t happened yet,“ emphasizes Falk. The schedule has become tighter, but not critical. „Whether it’s this week or at the beginning of next week – that doesn’t matter.“

The decisive factor is rather the content of the deal. Both sides are in agreement in principle, with the final touches being fine-tuned. Bayern want to tie Gnabry down for the long term, albeit on adjusted terms – a key point in the club’s current austerity measures

Regardless of the timing of the signing, the sporting perspective is clear. FC Bayern continue to see Gnabry as an important part of the squad – precisely because of his versatility. He can play on the wing, help out up front and also play a central role behind Harry Kane. This flexibility makes him valuable internally and sought-after externally.
