Iñaki and Nico Williams return to Athletic’s 22-man squad for Sunday’s Basque derby against Real Sociedad at San Mamés, kick-off 21:00.

As reported by as.com, Iñaki missed the last three matches, two in Champions and one in La Liga, with a left-leg muscle injury. Nico sat out Wednesday’s European game against Sporting de Portugal due to pubalgia-related discomfort that has troubled him this season.

Ernesto Valverde also has Gorka Guruzeta back after suspension from the league trip to the Sánchez-Pizjuán. Compared to the Champions tie, Jauregizar and Izeta are included, while Vivian remains out after a midweek overload.

Aymeric Laporte has trained several times with the group and is close to recovering from the muscle problem that has sidelined him for two months. Valverde said it is still too early for the international centre-back to be available.

Also watching from the stands will be the suspended Lekue and the injured Sancet, Sannadi, Prados and Egiluz, alongside Laporte.
