FC Bayern clearly beat Union Berlin 4-0 on matchday 27. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.
Jonas Urbig: Had nothing to hold on to in the first half. Urbig was only tested in the final quarter of an hour: He parried a well-placed shot from Jeong with a spectacular flying save. Grade: 2
Josip Stanisic: Switched from the right to the left side of defence midway through the first half. Stanisic provided Karl with a fine feed, but the youngster only hit the post. The Croatian international got involved in the attack even more often, such as when he set up Goretzka’s chance. Stanisic was also involved in the build-up to Gnabry’s 2-0. After Kim’s substitution, Stanisic then played centre-back and didn’t let anything else get in the way. Mark: 2
Dayot Upamecano: Saw yellow for a tactical foul very early on in the game, but remained composed and won his duels after that. Kompany took him off the pitch after an hour. Mark: 3
Minjae Kim: Did a lot to build up play and played several good passes out from the back. Kim was solid in tackles, but was not challenged by the Berlin attackers for long stretches. The South Korean was substituted in the 71st minute, with Ito coming on in his place. Mark: 3
Konrad Laimer: Started at left-back, but then swapped with Stanisic at times and played on the right. Laimer set up Kane’s 3-0 from the left at the start of the second half. The Austrian played with great commitment and a lot of drive forward. Mark: 2
Joshua Kimmich: His cross led to Gnabry’s 2:0. Kimmich had a wide range of action and set the pace in the center. Good game. Mark: 2
Leon Goretzka: Was set up nicely by Stanisic in the penalty area, slid in to get the ball, but didn’t hit it properly and then put it next to the goal. Goretzka set up Olise’s 1-0 with a precise long ball. Goretzka had a lot of contact with the ball and played clean passes. Convincing performance. Grade: 2
Michael Olise: Tested Berlin keeper Rönnow at the start with a sharp left-footed shot. Shortly before the break, Olise converted a long ball from Goretzka perfectly: The Frenchman received the ball superbly, took it to his left and finished hard into the far corner. A great goal! Before the 4:0, his finish was blocked after a great solo run, but Gnabry was able to score afterwards. Olise then hit the post again. The attacking star was once again a great whirlwind and caused Union huge problems. Add to that his great goal. Grade: 1

Lennart Karl: Missed a hundred percent chance when he only hit the post after a beautiful pass from Stanisic. Missed another good opportunity: From the five-metre line, he shot straight into goalkeeper Rönnow’s arms. Karl was unable to make a mark and was pretty much out of the picture. He was substituted after around an hour. Grade: 4
Serge Gnabry: Before the break, Gnabry made it 2-0 for Bayern: After a Kimmich cross, the Berliners were unable to clear the ball properly and it ended up with Gnabry, who shot into the near corner. Gnabry dribbled his way into another good chance in the second half, but then shot over. Afterwards, however, Gnabry was able to show the South Curve his iconic cheer once again: After a shot from Olise was blocked, the international finished to make it 4-0. Gnabry’s one-two was very dangerous and his overall performance was very good. Grade: 1
Harry Kane: Had Union goalkeeper Rönnow beaten at the end of the first half, but then pushed the ball left-footed next to the post from an acute angle. At the start of the second half, however, Kane made it ring again: Following an assist from Laimer, the Englishman finished with a precise shot into the corner. Shortly before the final whistle, Kane ran alone towards the Union goal, tried a lob, but the ball landed next to the post. Overall, however, a good game from Kane. Grade: 2

Substitute
Raphael Guerreiro (61st for Karl): Took over the ten position from Karl. Played pleasingly, but had no more big highlights. grade: 3
Tom Bischof (61st for Upamecano): Moved into the left-back position and finished the game faultlessly. 3
Hiroki Ito (71st for Kim): Showed a no-nonsense performance in central defense after coming on as a substitute. 3
Maycon Cardozo (87 for Gnabry): Came on too late to score
Erblin Osmani (87th for Goretzka): Made his professional debut, came on too late to score
