FC Bayern wins the DFB Cup final against VfB Stuttgart 2:0. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.

Jonas Urbig: Played several long balls to the opposition in the early stages and was generally unsure with back passes. The Neuer deputy then deflected a long-range shot from Mittelstädt with a good save next to the goal. Caught a shot from Führich safely later on. Grade: 3

Konrad Laimer: Started at right-back. Was asked to do a lot defensively and was unable to make an impact offensively in the first half. The Austrian then had a huge chance in the second half: After a shot from Diaz and a save from Nübel, all he had to do was push it in, but shot wide of the target with his back to the goal. It should have been in there! Grade: 4

Dayot Upamecano: Delivered a good performance. Upamecano was always alert, won his duels and was also convincing in his build-up play. Grade: 2

Jonathan Tah: Was extremely strong in tackles and won several header duels. Strong performance from FCB’s full-back. Mark: 2

Josip Stanisic: Played in the left-back position. Fired a dangerous long-range shot in the first half, but Nübel in the VfB goal was able to keep it out. Overall, a solid performance. Mark: 3

Joshua Kimmich: Played very deep. He practically acted as the last man in his own build-up. After Bayern took the lead, the national team captain also got involved further forward time and time again. Mark: 3

Aleksandar Pavlovic: Was very committed in the center of midfield and fought several passionate duels. Decent performance from Bayern’s home-grown player. Grade: 3

Michael Olise: Didn’t get involved in virtually any dangerous attacking moves in the first half, but then provided Kane with a perfect cross to make it 1-0. That was a very important move from Munich’s assist king. Grade: 2

Jamal Musiala: Went completely under the radar and gave nothing to Bayern’s play. Hardly any contact with the ball, no dangerous action in a final game. That was too little from Musiala. Mark: 5

Luis Diaz : Had a harmless finish in the first half – Nübel easily caught his shot. In the second half, Diaz then shot quite freely, Nübel was able to hold and Laimer was unable to put away the rebound. When Diaz got the ball, he pressed on the gas pedal and always brought passion to the pitch. The Colombian set up the 2-0 through Kane beautifully. Good game from Diaz. Grade: 2

Harry Kane: Because nothing came together offensively for Bayern in the first half, Kane was constantly dropping down and often played as a six-man. At 1-0, however, he was right where a top goalscorer has to be and headed in after Olise’s great cross to give FCB the lead. At 2-0, Kane first shot against the crossbar and Nübel could only look on motionless. The ball then came to Diaz via detours, who served Kane again. The Englishman took the ball finely, turned and shot in for Bayern’s cup triumph. In stoppage time, he also sank the penalty to make it 3-0. Matchwinner Kane! Grade: 1
