Inter Miami capped 2025 by winning the club’s first MLS Cup, adding the Eastern Conference title after finishing third in the East. According to Inter Miami, the double came in Javier Mascherano’s debut season and lifted the club’s trophy count to four.

They scored 101 goals across regular season and playoffs, the most in a single MLS season, including a postseason record 20. The team also played an MLS record 58 matches in all competitions.

They reached the Concacaf Champions Cup semi-finals, the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 and the Leagues Cup final, losing to Seattle Sounders.

Lionel Messi won the Golden Boot with 29 league goals, retained MLS MVP and was MLS Cup MVP. He set a postseason record of 15 goal contributions, six goals and nine assists, and his assist for Mateo Silvetti in the 5-1 win over NYCFC made it 405 career assists, the most in the sport.

Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets retired as champions. Busquets made 56 appearances and supplied 13 assists, while Alba produced 23 assists and eight goals in 52.

Tadeo Allende struck 24 times, a club-record nine in the postseason, and Rodrigo De Paul added seven assists and two goals in 23 games, including the second in the MLS Cup win over Vancouver.

Chase Stadium delivered 22 wins from 29 home games and staged the MLS Cup on its farewell night, ahead of the scheduled move to Miami Freedom Park in 2026.
