Inter fielded a very strong side. Only Marcus Thuram was rested. Therefore, it was surprising to see Monza score the first two goals of the match.

In fact, Inter dominated the match from the first minute to the last. Meanwhile, Monza capitalized on pretty much their only two chances of the game.

Each goal coming from Inter mistakes in the build-up. However, it has to be said Mota and Keita Balde did fantastically well.

Mota in the buildup to Birindelli’s goal. But above all Keita Balde’s finish, was top class.

However, moments after Keita Balde doubled Monza’s lead, Marko Arnautovic pulled one back. A very important goal before the half-time interval.

The second half Inter started where they left off.

Subsequently, Hakan Calhanoglu equalized in the 64th minute. It was the former AC Milan midfielder’s 50th goal in the Serie A.

Then, Inter continued to pile on the pressure. And in the 77th minute scored what became the match-winning goal.

At first in looked like Lautaro Martinez scored the winner. However, the goal was adjuged to have been an owngoal. Giorgos Kyriakopoulos was noted down as the culprit.

A fundamentally important goal and win. However, a hard-earned one. Not just for staging a comeback, but because Piotr Zielinski came off injured.

And much, much more.

So sit back, relax and join the INTERViews podcast boys as they break down the Inter Milan 3-2 win at home to Monza.
