He initially joined the Andalusian’s youth ranks before earning a promotion to their second team, Betis Deportivo, in January.

The teenager’s contract with the La Liga side will expire next year. Therefore, Inter are pouncing on the opportunity to secure his services this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri are only one step away from signing Perez.

As the pink newspaper reveals, the Italian champions will initially sign the Spaniard on loan while his purchase will cost them 3 million euros.

The source compares the operation to Yann Bisseck’s move from Aarhus last summer.

The German U21 starlet joined the Nerazzurri as a relative unknown but eventually proved himself to be a reliable option at the back, serving as a backup for Benjamin Pavard.

While Perez is making the move to Appiano Gentile at a younger age, he will also join Simone Inzaghi’s first immediately, as the report tells it.

The teenager was born in Madrid and has both Spanish and Mozambican citizenship.

The defender’s arrival also reflects Oaktree’s desire to focus on acquiring young and promising players.

The likes of Giovanni Leoni and Luka Topalovic could also follow suit in the coming days.
