Djed Spence, whose Leeds United loan was cut short after seven appearances, is being linked with Inter Milan this summer. The full-back’s revival at Tottenham Hotspur has put him back on major clubs’ radars.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 2025/26 Serie A champions want a new wing-back after a €30million (£25.6m) move for Union Saint-Gilloise’s Anan Khalaili collapsed following a failed medical. Any bid for Spence could be expensive given his recent form.
Spence’s 2023 loan at Elland Road ended in January 2024, with Leeds activating a break clause. A short spell at Bologna brought little reward, but back at Spurs he has played 55 Premier League games in two years, starting 42.
He also earned an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup across the Atlantic, often coming off the bench in wins over Mexico and Norway.
Meanwhile, The Athletic reported Everton interest as they seek a replacement for Seamus Coleman, who left when his contract expired this summer. The Premier League club are monitoring options at right-back.
At the time of the Leeds exit, Daniel Farke said the club ended the loan and stressed he would not criticise the player. He praised Spence’s character, spoke of his potential and highlighted a standout display in the win at Ipswich.
Where he lands next remains to be seen, but interest is building after a sharp upturn since leaving Leeds.
