Inter ‘to consider’ Djed Spence after £25.6m deal for Anan Khalaili collapses | OneFootball

Djed Spence, who endured a short-lived loan at Leeds United, has emerged as a candidate for Inter Milan after a €30m (£25.6m) move for Union Saint-Gilloise’s Anan Khalaili collapsed following a failed medical. Di Marzio reports that the 2025/26 Serie A champions are assessing wing-back options that include the Tottenham defender.

Closer to home, The Athletic reported last week that Everton are keen as they seek a replacement for long-serving right-back Seamus Coleman, who left after his contract expired this summer.

Spence joined Leeds on loan from Tottenham in summer 2023 but made only seven appearances before a break clause was triggered in January. Head coach Daniel Farke ended the loan and declined to criticise the player, stressing his potential and highlighting a strong display against Ipswich.

A six-month stint at Bologna brought little progress, but back at Spurs he has since revived his career, playing 55 Premier League games, 42 as a starter, across the past two years. He was also called into England’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.

Used frequently from the bench across the Atlantic, he helped close out wins over Mexico and Norway. Any bid is expected to be costly given that upturn.
