Djed Spence, who struggled on loan at Leeds United, has emerged as a potential option for 2025/26 Serie A champions Inter Milan after their €30m move for Anan Khalaili collapsed following a failed medical, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. A new wing-back is said to be high on Inter’s agenda this summer.

Spence’s 2023 loan from Tottenham Hotspur was cut short in January via a break clause after seven appearances at Elland Road. A six-month stint at Bologna brought little joy.

Back at Spurs, however, his career has revived. Over the past two years, the 25-year-old has played 55 Premier League matches, starting 42, and earned an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup.

He has featured across the Atlantic, often introduced late to help close out wins, including against Mexico and Norway. Any deal for him could be costly given that form.

Inter are not alone in their interest. The Athletic reported last week that Everton are looking at Spence as they seek a replacement for Seamus Coleman, who departed when his contract expired this summer.

It completes a sharp turn since he left Leeds in January 2024. Daniel Farke said the club chose to end the loan, adding that Spence is a good character with significant potential and offering him best wishes.
