Inter Milan are well-represented at this year’s Globe Soccer Awards after last season’s Serie A title heroics.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, note nominations for the Nerazzurri, Simone Inzaghi, and Lautaro Martinez.

It is now year-end award season in football.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony already took place in October. Two Inter players were in the thirty-player shortlist for that award – captain Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

Then, there was the FIFA The Best award. Inter captain Martinez was snubbed from the candidates for player of the year there.

And now, it is time for yet another award. This time in the form of the Globe Soccer Awards.

And, not too surprisingly, Inter have won recognition across a number of categories.

The Nerazzurri are among the teams to earn a nomination for team of the year. This follows their dominant Serie A title triumph last season.

Meanwhile, Inter’s Serie A rivals and last season’s Europa League winners have also got a nod.

Then, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi as well as Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini have earned coach of the year nomination.

And both the Nerazzurri and La Dea have a nomination for player of the year.

For Inter, it is captain Martinez. And Atalanta, meanwhile, have forward Ademola Lookman.
