Inter are worried that a change in schedule for Argentina could see Lautaro Martinez return late from international duty, leading him to miss the showdown with Roma.
The Nerazzurri go head-to-head with the joint Serie A leaders at the Stadio Olimpico next Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
It was already going to be tight for the players arriving from South America on international duty to be fully fit, especially with the Champions League fixtures coming up after that.
However, the situation just got more complicated for those playing for Argentina.

They had been due to play Venezuela in Miami, then Puerto Rico in a friendly match in Chicago.
However, due to security concerns, that latter game has been moved 24 hours later to Miami, so won’t be played until Tuesday.
That means Lautaro Martinez won’t be able to fly back to Italy until Wednesday afternoon.
It will give him very little time to take part in training sessions and be ready for the big Serie A match on Saturday.
Considering it is a friendly, Inter could well ask Argentina for permission to let him leave early and not participate in that Puerto Rico game.
