Internacional reopen talks to sign Corinthians striker Pedro Raul | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Internacional have reopened talks with Corinthians over 29-year-old striker Pedro Raul.

The forward has fielded a call from Abel Braga, Internacional’s technical director, although he is not the club’s top target, with Alex Arce and Maxi Gómez ahead in their list.

Pedro Raul remains under contract at Corinthians until 31 December 2028. During the last window, Vitória and Remo asked about him, but the options did not appeal as he wanted to stay with a top-flight Série A side.

He joined Corinthians in February 2024 under then president Augusto Melo, with the club buying 100% of his rights for US$ 5 million, to be paid in four instalments across 2024 and 2025.

Payment delays and the risk of a transfer ban led to a renegotiation, lifting the fee to at least US$ 8 million, now spread over nine instalments from 2025 to 2028.

Despite that outlay, he has not nailed down a place. He scored three in 33 games in 2024, then one in three in 2025 before a loan to Ceará. Back at Parque São Jorge in 2026, he has two assists and no goals in 25 appearances, largely from the bench.
