Jamie Carragher has lauded Leeds United’s approach under Daniel Farke and said he was not overly concerned during their recent barren run, with Saturday’s 3-0 win at Wolves leaving them eight points clear with five matches left.
"They're a good team, Leeds. When you look at the other teams, the way they're playing football, the way we've seen in the last couple of weeks, they're a very good team. When you look at the record, I wasn't too worried about them last week when we were looking at them, they hadn't scored for a while. They've only lost four of their last 20 Premier League games, that's some going for a promoted team," he said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
Leeds had gone four league games without scoring, which raised relegation fears. Optimism has returned at Elland Road and attention can now turn to Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, three pm BST.
Farke’s side visit Bournemouth on Wednesday with one absentee. Anton Stach has not recovered from the ankle injury sustained in the FA Cup quarter-final and will not travel. He is not ruled out for Wembley Stadium but is a significant doubt, with a return more likely next week.
Daniel James is back in full training and available this week. Joe Rodon is also in contention against Andoni Iraola’s team after a bench return at Wolves, and the squad from the weekend remains available as it stands.
