Andrée Jeglertz says he's delighted by the belief in City's principles after our late 3-0 Barclays Women's Super League win over Leicester.
Despite creating a flurry of chances against the Foxes, and boasting a high percentage of possession, the Blues were forced to wait until 74th minute for the opener as our attacking threat was met by committed defending.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scored our first when she latched onto Celeste Boureille’s sliced clearance to drill home inside the area before she powerfully headed home her 99th goal for the club 10 minutes later.
The Jamaican then turned provider when sliding Kerolin into the box before the latter coolly slotted into the bottom left corner which added the gloss to the victory in the East Midlands.

It was just rewards for City’s performance against Leicester which extended our winning WSL streak to nine matches and means we have our highest-ever top-flight tally after 10 games with 27 points.
For Jeglertz, he was particularly buoyed by his side’s refusal to grow frustrated before striking three times in the triumph.
“I think it was a very good performance for us,” he declared.
“Of course, we want to score a little bit earlier, but we created a lot of chances and had a lot of patience during 90 minutes.
“With the quality we have and the opportunities we had, I’m proud of the players’ patience and trust and believing that we will score. For a coach it’s always a little bit frustrating but since the players are having that feeling we will find a way to win.
“They just kept on going and I’m very happy for that.
“We didn’t start to get frustrated and doing things we haven’t talked about.

“We were consistent in following the game plan and found different ways, it was just about the final cross, the final pass into the box that we missed or didn’t succeed with in the first half.
“Since we created so many chances in and around their box, they will not manage to protect the goal that long, so that’s probably what I’m most satisfied with.”
Kerolin’s introduction with 20 minutes remaining against Leicester represented her first appearance since recovering from an injury which kept her out since our 5-1 win over Spurs in September.
She marked it with an exciting display where she provided Bunny’s first and found the back of the net for her first of 2025/26.
And Jeglertz says the Brazilian’s return is a boost for her and the whole squad as we continue to fight on three fronts this season.
He added: “Kerolin is a great player and I’m so happy she’s back. I’m happy for her, but also happy for us, of course.
“She has qualities that we definitely need to use and we need that for the group also.
“We have a lot of great players, but we also need to be able to make changes in games and you see all players who are coming in, Iman [Beney] is playing five minutes and she has an impact, Grace Clinton is coming in and showing a lot of energy.
“It’ll be very important for us that we have those players so the squad has more players to choose between.”
