Palmeiras will be without Jhon Arias for the derby at Corinthians in the Brasileirão. The Colombian is suspended after a third booking and will miss Sunday 12 at 18:30 at Neo Química Arena.

According to Globo.com, he was one of five on a booking going into Sunday’s match at Bahia in Salvador, where he collected the caution that triggered the ban.

Alongside him, Carlos Miguel, Andreas Pereira, Marlon Freitas and Allan were also one card from suspension but were not booked.

Abel Ferreira also received a yellow for dissent. The head coach had just returned from a ban after being sent off in the derby against São Paulo before the Fifa break.

Arias also scored at Arena Fonte Nova as Palmeiras won 2-1. The victory stretched their lead at the top to five, with Bahia fifth.
