Aston Villa look set to sign SC Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi after hijacking Newcastle United’s move, according to Sky Germany. The 20-year-old is a Swiss international.
Newcastle had appeared to be leading the race after agreeing a fee of around 60 million with Freiburg.

The report said on Sunday evening that Villa had a full agreement with Freiburg on a deal worth almost 70 million, including add-ons.
Manzambi has reportedly agreed a long-term contract with Villa.
He is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before the transfer is officially announced.
