Jordan Ayew, 34, has suffered the fifth relegation of his career after Leicester's latest drop.
A decade after their Premier League title, Leicester were relegated to the Championship last season, then to League One this season following a 2-2 home draw with Hull City on Tuesday night. Ayew came on during that match. L'Équipe notes that the Ghana forward has gone down with four different clubs.
Across his career, Ayew has represented seven clubs, Marseille, Sochaux, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea, Crystal Palace and Leicester.
He avoided the drop at Marseille, where he came through the academy and played from 2009 to 2014, at Lorient during a loan from January to June 2014, and at Crystal Palace between 2018 and 2024.
His demotions came with Sochaux in 2014, Aston Villa in 2015-16, Swansea in 2017-18, and with Leicester in each of the last two seasons. The Ghana international has 117 caps and 33 goals.
