Juan Nardoni to join Gremio as Racing approve move | OneFootball

Juan Nardoni, 23, will leave Racing to join Gremio de Porto Alegre, one of Gustavo Costas's standout midfielders moving to Brazil. The move will end his time with La Academia.

According to SuperDepor.com, the deal is worth eight million dollars for 80 percent of his rights, with Racing owning 70 percent and Unión de Santa Fe 30 percent. A further two million dollars could follow if targets are met, such as a set number of appearances.

He will bid farewell to team-mates, staff and directors on Wednesday, then head to Brazil for medical checks and the contract signing.

Despite the vacancy his departure creates, Racing have chosen not to add a player, a decision taken by the board in consensus with Costas.

Both parties consider the squad equipped to cover his position, with options including Baltasar Rodríguez, Matías Zaracho or Bruno Zuculini.
