Jude Bellingham makes ‘surprise’ return to Real Madrid squad to face Marseille | OneFootball

Whilst Xabi Alonso had described himself as “optimistic” about his return, Jude Bellingham has been included in the squad for Real Madrid’s clash with Marseille on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu. The England international was operated on for a shoulder injury which occurred during the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, but is not expected to start against Les Olympiens. Meanwhile, French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has returned to Xabi Alonso’s squad – after having not played since last April for los Blancos. Roberto De Zerbi will be without new signings Nayef Aguerd and Hamad Junior Traoré, after both have picked up injuries ahead of the trip to the Spanish capital. Neither trained this morning at La Commanderie before the squad travel Madrid this evening. Roberto De Zerbi will be present in his pre-match press conference this evening at the Bernabau as Marseille make their return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2022-2023 season under Igor Tudor.
