Juninho has started 2026 with a move to FK IMT Belgrad in Serbia's top flight after a landmark year in Belarus, aiming to keep progressing in Europe.

In 2025 the forward played for Maxline Vitebsk, helping secure the Belarusian league crown in the club's first season at that level. He made 29 appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists. According to TMC, the transfer involved no fee, with Corinthians retaining 40% of his economic rights and the Serbian club holding about 60%.

He described his spell in Belarus as special and said his first European season boosted his confidence. Now he begins a new challenge with IMT, calling the league competitive and stressing he is motivated to improve, support his team-mates and chase important targets in Serbia.

Though still eligible for the under-20s, Juninho had fallen outside Corinthians' plans and wanted to remain in senior football. The agreement enables him to continue abroad and gain experience in domestic competitions.

A graduate of Corinthians' under-15, under-17 and under-20 sides, he registered 19 goals in 110 matches across the two older age groups, 63 for the under-20s and 47 for the under-17s. He won the Copinha in 2024 and the São Paulo under-17 title in 2023. His contract with Corinthians had been valid until 31 December 2026.

IMT are 13th in the 16-team Serbian league with 25 points. Juninho's task is to help them climb the table and take another step in his European journey.
