The Bianconeri picked up their first Champions League win of the season away against Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday night, despite trailing at half-time, thanks to second half goals from Lois Openda, Weston McKennie and Jonathan David, all set up by the transcendent Kenan Yildiz off the bench.

There were concerns that the travelling Bianconeri party could be stuck in Norway on Wednesday morning, though, as the city of Bodo woke up to more snow and the runway at the city’s airport frozen over.

Juventus had been due to fly back to Turin at 12.00 CET (11.00 GMT), but faced delays while airport staff worked tirelessly to defrost and clear the tarmac.

The Juve squad were informed that their flight would be delayed by at least an hour and 15 minutes, and the staff and players eventually turned up at the airport at around 12.55 local time (11.55 GMT).

Reports from Ilbianconero.com confirm that the Juve squad have since boarded and taken off and are on their way back to Turin, where they will begin to prepare for Saturday’s Serie A match at home against Cagliari.
