Juventus coach Tudor justifies David decision

The Bianconeri boss explained his decision to start David, underlining that every player in the squad has a part to play.

“I choose who’s best suited for the match. Today it’s David. Everyone plays – even those who don’t come off the bench contribute,” Tudor said, via TuttoJuve.

Asked about maintaining intensity throughout the match, the Croatian tactician offered a measured reflection on performance levels.

“No team in the world can play perfectly for 90 minutes. The key thing is to have at least one great half and never collapse in the other,” he explained. “At Villarreal we had a great second half, but we were also present in the first. The important thing is that the team is there, trying to play our football. Today, we need to pedal hard.”
