Kick-off confirmed for Valencia vs Athletic Copa quarter-final at Mestalla | OneFootball

Valencia will host Athletic in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals at Mestalla on Wednesday 4 February at 21:00.

The RFEF announced the schedule on its social channels. Carlos Corberán’s side will be playing for a place in the semi-finals in a one-off tie.

Albacete vs Barcelona is on Tuesday 3 February at 21:00.

Also on Wednesday at 21:00, Alavés face Real Sociedad.

The last quarter-final is Betis vs Atlético de Madrid on Thursday 5 February at 21:00.

Mestalla will stage a classic between two great cup sides, Valencia and Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club. Valencia have eight titles, Athletic have 24, with Barcelona leading the roll of honour on 32.

To reach this round, Valencia eliminated UD Maracena, FC Cartagena, Sporting de Gijón and Burgos CF.

Home advantage could be decisive. Athletic midfielder Robert Navarro would have preferred to play at San Mamés, though he expects strong travelling support and a spectacular contest against historic opponents.

He added they go into it with plenty of enthusiasm. The match will be shown on Movistar.
