Valencia and Athletic are set to meet at Mestalla in the Copa del Rey quarter-final, with absentees and doubts already stacking up.

According to Superdeporte, Corberán's side have long term absentees Agirrezabala and Diakhaby, plus Thierry. César Tárrega also looks unlikely to be ready for the tie.

For Athletic, Ernesto Valverde will be without Paredes through suspension, and Yeray due to a doping ban. Eguiluz and Prados remain in long recoveries from cruciate ligament ruptures.

If there are no setbacks, Laporte and Vesga are expected to recover in time, as is Sannadi after meniscus surgery.

There is greater concern over Iñaki Williams, one of their most decisive players. A mild to moderate triceps surae injury will keep him out for a couple of weeks. He left training on Sunday and is being monitored to see if he can make the cup tie.
