Lazio are preparing to end their shirt sponsorship with Polymarket, Il Corriere dello Sport reports, as an urgent appeal against an Italian ban was rejected.

The parties unveiled a deal in April lasting until June 2028, with the American firm’s logo immediately on the front of the Biancocelesti shirt.

Italian authorities have since blacklisted Polymarket and shut its website, saying it offered unauthorised betting services.

The New York company argued to the TAR that its prediction market is distinct from betting, but the court rejected an urgent appeal and said the case needs full examination. A final ruling could arrive in the coming months.

The partnership now appears over, with the club and company having agreed to terminate, with formalities and an announcement due in the coming hours.

Lazio are expected to receive remuneration. The sponsorship was projected to be worth €19 million, though the compensation figure remains unclear.
